Buying your food locally.
In Ostra Vetere there are a number of small supermarkets, and a market every Monday morning and a cafe in the central piazza. We shop in lower Corinaldo, where there is a new EUROSPIN, Italian owned and very reasonable, great veggie selection plus separate fresh meat, fresh fish and cured meat and cheese . COAL supermarket nearby, slightly more expensive and perhaps greater choice. BOTH SUPERMARKETS SELL SPIRITS, WINE AND BEER. Wine is a speciality of this region; if you would like to pre-order DOC quality wine that we drink, you can order 5 litres boxes at €25 each (approx 40 glasses per box) White is Verdiccio & Red is Lacrima..

Very local in OSTRA VETERE. Tried and tested! OFFICINA. Restaurant/pizzeria (also takeaway.) Borgo Cavour, 2, 60010. Closed Monday. Open Tuesday- Sunday 17:30-12.00pm ……………………………… Also close, in lower Corinaldo - 6 minutes drive to a "HOTSPOT" ROTATORI cafe/bar/bakery - The best pastries (all butter) with cream / custard cream / jams and savoury fillings. Excellent coffee & REAL ice cream. (closed Tuesday ) CASOLARE Restaurant for the BEST pizzas for miles opposite ROTATORI (opens 7pm) . ( also takeaway ) Via Corinaldese, 6, 60013. Open every day. Open Mon-Fri 12. 00- 2.30 and 7-11pm EUROSPIN SUPERMARKET (NEW) - near Rotatori & Casolari - go around nearby roundabout for about 100m. We think Eurospin is the best value and next door is COAL (co-al). THE NEAREST TAKEAWAY PIZZA. 5 mins down the road, then right. They make all different toppings, in large trays, and then cut into portions to buy immediately. But, they also make round pizzas to order, waiting time 10 mins. Very delicious and good value. Not only is Italian coffee so so good but their ice creams are out of this world😋 also their pastries filled with cream, custard and jam are special. CAFE/BAR Very local OSTRA VETERE. Mille Voglie, Bar Pasticceria Pizzeria Gelateria. Contrada Santa Croce 15. 60010. Closed Monday. Open 6.30 - 1 pm. 4 - 11 pm Another even better Cafe, bar, gelateria, made on the premises. Lower Corinaldo. Panifico Rotatori . Via Enrico Mattei, 60013, Corinaldo. Closed Tuesday, open all other days 5 am - 9pm. This is outstanding!
