Car Hire
We would always recommend Car Hire HQ as they always come up trumps with low cost car hire.
Tip
Usually good offers if you are looking at 3 months before travel. £1 each way means about £26 including taxes. Flight time is 2 hours. If you are going for a week park @ the Pink Elephant car park @ Stansted – about £5.50 a day if you pre-book online with a very good low –level bus service to the terminal included. If you are going for 2 weeks consider a local hotel. The on site Hilton is about £110 for a room for a night with 15 days free parking.
Directions once you arrive at Ancona Airport
Remember to drive on the RIGHT.
You will need some small change for the toll road (1 Euro + 10 Cents, approximately 75p) – the A14 coastal motorway. Join the A14 coastal motorway, which is close to the airport, heading NORTH and marked BOLOGNA; your toll booth is marked BIGLIETTO (Silent “G”) = Ticket.
Take a ticket, drive for about 15 mins and exit at SENIGALLIA. Pay toll with ticket.
After 300 meters you will approach an Island. You need the SS360 to ARCEVIA (“c” pro. Che) which is left/west BUT because you are in Italy you have to go right at the Island before bearing left. Follow the SS360 for about 20 mins until you come to the village of PONGELLI.
Slow up and look for the CON-AUTO car showroom on the right. On the left is garden centre/nursery. Immediately after CON-AUTO TURN RIGHT (not @ the TAMOIL petrol station).
Follow the road for 5 mins.
Casa Ambiente is a large pink Villa with Green Shutters on your left. The villa should be up and running within minutes of your arrival.
